Job summary

Kids for the Future is seeking a skilled Stone Refinisher to restore surfaces using buffing, stripping, masking, filling, polishing and finishing techniques. This full-time role supports our expanding markets and requires attention to detail and safety.

You will follow work orders and directions, work with solvents and tools, and may travel occasionally. Nights (4/5pm–2/3am) with occasional weekends and per diem travel in company van are included.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Must be 18+ and have a valid driver’s license.
• Able to communicate effectively in writing and verbally.
• Comfortable with heights and confined spaces; able to lift up to 60 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Follow work orders and foreman directions to complete jobs on time and to quality standards.
• Operate solvents, chemicals, pneumatic and power tools safely.
• Adhere to OSHA safety protocols and use company vehicles as required.
• Complete required safety trainings and modules.
• Occasional nights (4/5pm–2/3am) with occasional weekends; travel in company van with per diem.

Job Description:

We’re looking for a skilled and motivated Stone Refinisher to bring their talent and craft to our expanding markets. As a refinisher, you’ll be using your expertise in buffing, stripping, masking, filling, polishing and finishing techniques to restore surfaces to their best state.

Key Responsibilities:

• Accountable for following work order instructions and Lead Foreman directions to ensure all jobs are completed to quality standards and in a timely manner
• Working with solvents, chemicals, pneumatic and power tools
• Follow all safety and OSHA related protocols, including the use of company vehicles
• Successfully complete all required safety and training modules
• Work nights (generally 4/5pm – 2/3am) with flexibility to work occasional days or weekends
• Occasion out of town travel (in company van, with daily per diem allowance & individual hotel)

Qualifications:

• Must be at least 18 years of age
• High School Diploma or G.E.D preferred
• Current and valid driver’s license, with an insurable driving record
• Effective communication skills – both written and verbal
• Comfortable with heights and working in confined spaces
• Ability to kneel, squat, bend, lift, reach, climb and carry equipment up to 60lbs unassisted
• Stone cleaning and custodial experience of any type
• High level of attention to detail/cleanliness
