Job summary

The Gallegos Corporation is seeking a skilled Stone Mason to join our Big Sky team. This full-time role offers a $28.00–$37.00 hourly wage with a $900/month housing stipend and travel costs covered to and from projects.

The Mason will work on distinctive stone projects, maintain safety, and meet productivity specs under foreman guidance. Five years of masonry experience preferred, with strong workmanship and reliability.

Qualifications

• Mason must be able to work with stone and complete custom work.
• Minimum of 5 years of construction or masonry experience.
• Ability to work safely and meet productivity specs.

Responsibilities

• Shape stone in preparation for final setting with chisels or power saws.
• Align stone with plumbline and finish joints with a pointing trowel.
• Fasten or fuse brick or other building material to structures.
• Mix and spread mortar and set masonry in place by hand or with equipment.
• Participate in daily huddles and follow safety protocols.
• Model The Gallegos Corporation mission and values at all times.
• This position does not have supervisory responsibilities.

What Gallegos is Looking For...

A Mason must be able to work with stone completing custom work on distinctive projects. Masons need to have above average skill and speed in laying stone. A Mason is required to complete work safely, with quality and within productivity specifications as directed by the foreman or superintendent.

Duties & Responsibilities...

• Shapes stone in preparation for final setting with use of chisels and/or power saws.
• Align stone with plumbline and finishes joints with pointing trowel.
• Fasten or fuse brick or other building material to structure with wire clamps, anchor holes, torch, or cement.
• Mixes and spreads mortar over stone and foundation with trowel and sets masonry in place by hand or with aid of a forklift or crane.
• Participates in daily huddles and practices safety as priority on all job sites.
• Models The Gallegos Corporation mission and values at all times.
• This position does not have supervisory responsibilities.
• Minimum of 5 years' of construction or masonry experience.
