Job summary

PERI is seeking a Yard Associate to support operations in the stockyard across departments. The role involves loading/unloading materials, counting inventory, operating forklifts, and maintaining a safe, clean work environment while following procedures.

You will input data with handheld devices, assist with onboarding, and help craft workers as needed. The position requires physical stamina, basic math, and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work outdoors in all weather.

Responsibilities

• Perform and complete all assigned tasks as assigned by the department and within the designed timeframe.
• Load and unload materials, tools, and equipment as needed.
• Assist with conducting inventory counting to ensure accuracy.
• Operate powered industrial equipment, including forklifts, safely and efficiently.
• Assist with performing yard maintenance and clean-up tasks.
• Clean, count, and move equipment as assigned by the department.
• Maintain a safe and clean work environment by following safety and housekeeping processes and procedures.
• Assist in coaching and mentoring new hires during the onboarding process.
• Accurately and efficiently input data using handheld technology or similar devices to track and maintain accurate order counts and shipment data.
• Assist craft workers as required.
