Job summary

Custom Truck One Source in Elk Point, SD is seeking a Stockroom Clerk to prepare parts for production and keep the stockroom organized. You will assist with shipping and receiving and maintain accurate inventory records.

Candidates should have experience in a stockroom or parts department, knowledge of automotive parts inventory is preferred, and must be able to lift 50 lbs and pass a background check. Forklift certification may be required; safety and quality are priority.

Summary

The Stockroom Clerk will prepare Parts for production and ensure the Stockroom is organized. They will assist with Shipping and Receiving as needed.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Issuing of parts for production including kitting, staging, and shipping
• Must be able to accurately count, record & calculate inventory quantities
• Maintaining accurate paperwork relating to parts and shipping and receiving
• Prepare and pack materials for shipmentReceive and inventory incoming shipments
• Assist with annual inventory under the direction of management
• Maintain orderliness and cleanliness of stockroom
• Basic computer proficiency
• Other duties may be assigned.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Previous experience working in a Stockroom or Parts Department
• Automotive Parts Inventory Knowledge highly preferred
• Previous experience with inventory preferred
• Must be able to pass pre-employment drug screen and background check
• Must be able to lift 50 lbs. and assist with loading/unloading shipments
• Must be able to become Forklift Certified through Utility One Source
• Strong orientation towards quality, safety, and continual improvement.

  Preferred Skills and Qualifications

  • Two plus years of related automotive or vocational truck operation and maintenance experience
  • Proven commitment to Safety

  Working Conditions

  • Majority of work is performed in a shop and outside
  • Must be able to work while exposed to bright lights, extreme temperatures, loud noise, dust, gas and/or other fumes
  • Must be able to work overtime as needed

  Physical Requirements

  • Occasional lifting, carrying, pushing, and/or pulling; some climbing and balancing on ladders and platforms of heights above 42”, significant stooping, kneeling, crouching, and/or crawling throughout an 8-hour day, and up to 50 hours per week
  • Must be able to safely operate carts, forklifts, hand trucks, and other equipment of such nature
  • Ability to walk and stand on concrete and/or uneven surfaces for at least 8 hours per day
