Job summary

XL Parts | The Parts House (TPH) is seeking a Store Stocker to receive and stock automotive parts in a fast-paced warehouse environment. The role requires ability to bend, lift up to 50 lbs, and occasionally climb a small ladder to access high shelves.

You will read orders, move items to storage, assemble customer orders, and ensure accurate records. A high school diploma and basic computer skills are needed; 0–3 years in a warehouse is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required.
• Strong attention to detail.
• 0–3 years warehouse experience.
• Good to above-average computer skills.
• Knowledge of shipping and receiving procedures preferred.

Responsibilities

• Read customer or shipping orders to determine items to be moved, gathered, or distributed.
• Convey materials from receiving areas to storage or other designated areas.
• Sort and place materials on racks, shelves, or bins by size, type, color, or product code.
• Assemble customer orders from stock and place on pallets or at packing/shipping stations.
• Mark materials with identifying information and open boxes or containers.
• Record amounts of materials received or distributed.
• Weigh or count items for distribution to ensure conformance to company standards.
• Enter records into computer systems.
• Prepare parcels for mailing and shipment via common carrier.
• Other duties may be assigned by the supervisor.

Job Purpose

The Store Stocker is responsible for receiving and stocking Automotive parts. The ideal candidate should be able to move and think quickly, able to bend at the waist and knees and climb a short ladder to reach top shelves.

Key Job Responsibilities

• - Reads customers order, shipping order, or requisition to determine items to be moved, gathered, or distributed.
• - Conveys materials and items from receiving areas to storage to other designated areas.
• - Sorts and places materials or items on racks, shelves, or in bins according to predetermined sequence such as size, type, style, color, or product code.
• - Assembles customer orders from stock and places orders in pallets or shelves or conveys orders to packing station or shipping department.
• - Marks materials with identifying information. Open boxes, crates, and other containers.
• - Records amounts of materials or items received or distributed.
• - Weighs or counts items for distribution within the warehouse to ensure conformance to company standards.
• - Uses computer to enter records.
• - Prepares parcels for mailing and shipment via common carrier.
• - Other duties may be assigned by the supervisor.

Requirements

• - 0 to 3 years working in a warehouse
• - Good to above-average computer skills
• - Knowledge of shipping and receiving procedures preferred
• - Monday through Friday, 40 hours per week. Some overtime may be required
• - Must be able to pass a criminal background and drug screen

Environmental/Occupational Health and Physical Requirements: Typical 9-hour day to include reaching, standing, walking, kneeling, lifting and carrying. To perform the duties of this job the employee must be capable of working in a fast-paced environment. The heavy lifting of 50lbs or more may be required. Employee also share the responsibility to perform routine housekeeping activities such as dusting, sweeping, mopping, restroom cleaning and changing trash can liner
