Job summary

Guardian Equipment in Chicago, IL, is seeking a Stockroom Attendant I to help manage inventory, receive materials, and efficiently move supplies to the appropriate departments on a busy manufacturing floor. This on-site position requires attention to detail, ability to lift up to 50 pounds, and commitment to safety, with training provided.

You will operate order pickers and barcode scanners, maintain clean stock areas, and keep accurate withdrawal and return records while adhering to PPE

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma, GED or equivalent.
• Experience: No prior experience is required; all training is provided on-the-job.
• Ability to read, comprehend, and follow basic written instructions.
• Basic mathematical proficiency for inventory counting and simple measurement verification.
• Foundational computer literacy to navigate basic tracking applications or utilize hand-held barcode scanners.
• Familiarity with Guardian Equipment products and the parts, materials, packaging, or shipping requirements relevant to the position.

Responsibilities

• Receive, check, and store incoming materials and supplies using FIFO, put away receipts from WaterSaver Faucet and Mexico.
• Move or expedite materials to proper departments or queuing area for delivery.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the stockroom area.
• Operate order picker, hoists, and other equipment in unloading, moving, or storing materials.
• Comply strictly with all company safety policies, including the mandatory PPE such as safety glasses, steel-toed boots, and hand protection.
