Job summary

Cartridge Actuated Devices in New Jersey is seeking a Warehouse Associate to receive, store, and issue raw materials and finished parts across Fairfield and Byram locations. You will perform stockroom updates, maintain orderly inventories, and support production with timely material handling.

This on-site, full-time role requires physical fitness to lift up to 75 pounds, familiarity with Windows and MS Office, and experience with an MRP system; ATF background check is required for success.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED; must pass ATF background check.
  • Preferred: 1–2 years in a stockroom/stores environment.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Windows and MS Office.
  • Exposure to an MRP (JDEdwards/FIBS) Business System.

Responsibilities

  • Receive new materials and verify part numbers.
  • Pull items for customer and stock orders per BOM.
  • Pack and deliver small parcel orders to production.
  • Maintain inventory accuracy with cycle counts.
  • Assist planners and customer service in order expediting.
  • Label parts and maintain stockroom layout.
  • Deliver parts to vendors or the Byram facility.
  • Follow CAD procedures and ISO9001:2015 requirements.
  • Complete CUI awareness training per NIST 800-171.

Employment Type: Full-Time (non-exempt) Location: Fairfield and Byram, NJ Schedule: Monday-Friday, 7:00 AM - 5:00 PM Note: This role is on-site only (not remote or hybrid). Department: Logistics

Reports to: Logistics Operation Manager

Pay rate: $19.00-$23.00 per hour

Job Summary:

Receives, stores, and issues raw materials & finished parts, equipment, and other items from stockroom. Perform business system updates and maintain stockrooms in orderly manner. Works in both Fairfield and Byram locations.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Receives new materials and parts into stock. Verifies part number and quantity.
  • Pulls items to support both customer orders & stock orders IAW Bill of Materials.
  • Picks packs & deliver small parcel orders to production.
  • Identifies factory stock items for reorder.
  • Maintains inventory by performing cycle counts, making adjustments as required, maintaining location integrity and receiving and issuing inventory on a first in first out (FIFO) basis.
  • Assists planners & customer service in expediting orders.
  • Marks/labels parts with identifying information.
  • Maintain stockroom layout for most efficient usage.
  • Acts as one of several 'drivers' to pick up/deliver parts to/from vendors or our Byram facility.
  • Adheres to safety practices and procedures.
  • Follows procedures as defined by CAD policies, procedures, and ISO9001:2015 requirements. Maintains confidentiality of all information processed.
  • Learns shipping/receiving duties.
  • Adheres to the Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI) policies and procedures related to NIST 800-171 and completes all required CUI Awareness training, which includes collection, processing/handling, transmission, storage, and general safeguarding practices.

Requirements/Qualifications:

  • (Physical Demands) While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand. The employee frequently is required to talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to walk; sit; use hand to finger, handle, or feel; and reach with hands and arms. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 75 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
  • (Work Environment) The employee is occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
  • Subject Matter Understanding. Records Management. Inventory.
  • High School Diploma or a General Educational Development Diploma (GED). Must pass the ATF Background check.
  • Preferred: One to two years experience in a stockroom/stores environment. Working knowledge of Microsoft Windows and Microsoft Office Suite. Exposure to an MRP (JDEdwards/FIBS) Business System
