Job Summary

The Stockroom Associateis responsible for supporting on-site stockroom operations by managing inventory, receiving and stocking materials, fulfilling material requests, and maintaining accurate inventory records. This role provides critical coverage to ensure uninterrupted stockroom operations, supports daily material flow, and delivers professional customer service in an office-style environment. The ideal candidate has inventory management experience, strong computer skills, and excellent customer service abilities.

Job Responsibilities

• Receive, inspect, and stock incoming materials into designated inventory locations.
• Process outgoing materials and return-to-stock transactions accurately.
• Fulfill material requests and issue inventory to internal customers.
• Perform daily cycle counts to maintain inventory accuracy and system integrity.
• Investigate inventory discrepancies and reconcile physical inventory with system records.
• Support receiving, stocking, issuing, and reverse-issuing of materials in accordance with established procedures.
• Assist with non-moving inventory pulls, staging, and general parts management activities.
• Support inventory control initiatives and maintain accurate inventory records.
• Process inventory transactions using company systems and Microsoft Office applications.
• Escalate significant inventory variances to leadership as required.
• Maintain organized stockroom locations and ensure materials are properly stored.
• Deliver professional, front-facing customer service while assisting employees with material requests.
• Follow established standard operating procedures and inventory control processes.
• Perform additional stockroom and inventory support duties as assigned.

Job Requirements

• Minimum of 1 year of experience in material handling, stockroom operations, or inventory management.
• Minimum of 1 year of experience using Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Teams, and performing data entry.
• Minimum of 1 year of front-facing customer service experience in a professional environment.
• Experience performing inventory transactions, receiving, stocking, and cycle counting.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work independently while maintaining a high level of accuracy.
• Strong computer proficiency, including Microsoft Excel.
• Experience in wholesale distribution, industrial supply, retail building materials, or automotive parts environments preferred.
• Local market knowledge is a plus.
• Willingness to learn and adapt to new processes.

Education

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
