This role will bridge the gap between often complex technical requirements and program management. In addition to driving technical execution, managing risks, and supporting critical infrastructure integration, this position is designed as a strategic talent development opportunity. The Program Specialist will gain the foundational program management experience necessary to enable potential transition into a future Program Manager (PM) role, ensuring long‑term leadership continuity for Programs Integration at Y-12.
The primary objective of this position is to coordinate, oversee, and technically execute assigned program deliverables, manage assigned program‑level technical interfaces, lead assigned risk management activities, and shadow the lead Program Manager to build broad‑spectrum program management competencies.
Heavy consideration will be given to candidates with prior experience in program management.
Bachelor’s degree in a technical or business related discipline combined with at least 6 years of professional experience in a field related to program or project management
