Job summary

Vulcan Materials Company is seeking a Sales Yard/Stockpile Loader Operator to load and unload materials in the yard and stockpile areas. You will operate loaders, forklifts, and other heavy equipment, maintain yard organization, and assist with routine equipment maintenance as needed.

Responsibilities include basic loading, stockpile building, and ensuring proper weight distribution while maintaining safety in a high-traffic environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• 1-4 years of experience operating a front-end loader in a stockpile environment.
• Demonstrates safety practices and adherence to PPE guidelines.
• Basic mechanical aptitude for inspections and minor maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Performs basic loading and stockpile-building tasks under direct supervision.
• Operates a front-end loader to load trucks and move materials within the stockpile area.
• Maintains precise control of the loader to ensure safety in high-traffic areas.
• Conducts pre- and post-operation inspections and reports maintenance needs.
• Loads trucks with proper weight distribution and minimizes spillage.
• Collaborates with plant operators, truck drivers, and team members to ensure efficient material flow.
