Job summary

Vulcan Materials Company seeks a Sales Yard/Stockpile Loader Oper to load and unload materials in a sales yard or stockpile area. You will operate front-end loaders, forklifts, and other heavy equipment safely, maintaining and organizing yard materials for easy customer access and processing.

The role requires operating heavy machinery in a high-traffic area, performing routine checks, and collaborating with plant operators and truck drivers to ensure efficient material flow and production

Qualifications

• Operates loaders and heavy equipment with focus on safety and efficiency.
• Maintains yard stockpiles and organizes materials for accessibility.
• Performs basic maintenance checks and reports issues promptly.
• Adheres to safety protocols and PPE requirements in a busy yard.
• Collaborates with plant operators and drivers to ensure smooth material flow.

Responsibilities

• Operate a front-end loader to load trucks, feed processing plants, and move materials.
• Conduct pre- and post-operation inspections of the loader and report maintenance needs.
• Load trucks accurately with proper weight distribution and minimal spillage.
• Coordinate with maintenance teams for repairs and preventive maintenance.
• Work with truck drivers and plant operators to optimize production and material flow.
