Johnson Controls is hiring for an onsite storeroom/inventory role in the United States. The position involves prioritizing work, receiving, counting, and organizing stock, and handling material movements across the warehouse using SAP or similar systems.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

• 1. Perform and make decisions as to work priority, methods and procedures within established system.
• 2. May assume normal operation of a storeroom with minimum higher level instructions. Includes filling requisitions promptly and assigning locations for stock.
• 3. Evaluate and report workload to supervisor.
• 4. Count and check material received in storeroom to check inventory records, distribute received materials in bins, containers or piles in storage area.
• 5. Detect and report defective material, report shortages or low stock.
• 6. Control and record all activity of purchased material stages in the storeroom.
• 7. Perform necessary transactions to relieve inventory and process production documentation in SAP or other network system.
• 8. Receive, may unload and move incoming shipments of merchandise, and keep records pertaining thereto.
• 9. Compare quality and identification numbers of merchandise against orders and assure packing list quantities match that which has been received.
• 10. Open wooden and cardboard containers for packing list and inspection.
• 11. Verify receipt of shipments against bills of lading, invoices, or other records.
• 12. Requires a working knowledge of drawings, assembly techniques used and different products manufactured.
• 13. Operate hand or power vehicles and overhead crane in performance of duties.
• 14. Pass and maintain certificate required to operate appropriate material handling equipment as required by lease agreement and/or State/Federal codes.
• 15. Maintain necessary time, quality, quantity and other records.
• 16. Maintain clean, safe work area and equipment according to 5S standards.
• 17. May be called upon to participate within special work teams performing various team related duties. Including Kaizen events, 5S programs and problem solving exercises.
• 18. Follow all safety policies, procedures and JHRA’s.

HIRING HOURLY RANGE : $ 28.73 (Hourly rate to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, location and alignment with market data.)
