Job summary

Meijer Inc. is seeking an entry-level Stocking Clerk to ensure shelves are fully stocked and ready for customers. You will provide courteous customer service, maintain product knowledge, and support everyday retail tasks related to stocking, merchandising, and inventory in a fast-paced store environment.

The role emphasizes teamwork, adherence to store procedures, and the ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting up to 50 lbs. Overnight shifts help prepare the store for the day ahead.

Qualifications

• Ability to learn and use basic technology.
• Strong teamwork and collaboration.
• Ability to stay organized and productive in a fast-paced setting.
• Experience with pallet jacks or forklifts is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Stock shelves with a variety of food and grocery products.
• Move product from pallets or carts to shelves accurately and efficiently.
• Pull backstock and dispose of cardboard and trash in back-room areas.
• Coordinate with leadership to ensure areas are completed on time.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment.
• Provide friendly, respectful interactions with customers as needed.
• Work overnight shifts to prepare the store for the day ahead.
• Support other tasks to keep operations running smoothly.
