Job summary

Meijer is seeking an entry-level Stocking Clerk to deliver remarkable customer service with product knowledge, efficient service and a friendly attitude. You will be exposed to retail tasks related to product, customer service and merchandising.

The role involves stocking shelves, moving products from pallets to shelves, handling backstock, coordinating with leadership, keeping areas clean and safe, and providing friendly customer interactions.

Qualifications

• Basic technology literacy and ability to follow procedures.
• Strong organizational skills and efficiency in a fast-paced environment.
• Able to stay calm and productive while supporting team goals.
• Able to work overnight shifts and lift up to 50 lbs.
• Experience with pallet jacks or forklifts is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Stock shelves with a variety of food and grocery products.
• Move product from pallets or carts to the correct shelf locations efficiently and accurately.
• Pull backstock and dispose of cardboard and trash in designated back-room areas.
• Work closely with leadership to ensure assigned areas are completed on time.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment.
• Provide friendly, respectful interactions with customers when needed.
• Work overnight shifts to prepare the store for the day ahead.
• Support other tasks as needed to keep operations running smoothly.
