Job summary

Meijer is seeking a Stocking Clerk to deliver outstanding customer service with strong product knowledge and a friendly attitude. The role involves stocking shelves, moving merchandise from pallets to shelves, pulling backstock, and keeping work areas clean and organized.

Ideal candidates are comfortable with basic technology, able to work in a fast-paced environment, and willing to work overnight shifts to prepare the store for opening.

Qualifications

• Provides customers with excellent service and product knowledge.
• Works in a team to achieve store goals and maintain merchandising standards.
• Able to learn and use basic technology for daily tasks.
• Maintains organized, efficient, and safe work practices.
• Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Stock shelves with a variety of food and grocery products.
• Move product from pallets or carts to correct shelf locations.
• Pull backstock and dispose of cardboard and trash in back-room areas.
• Work with leadership to ensure areas are completed on time.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment.
• Provide friendly interactions with customers when needed.
• Work overnight shifts to prepare the store for the day ahead.
• Support other tasks as needed to keep operations running smoothly.
