Job summary

Meijer Inc. is seeking a Stocking Clerk to keep shelves stocked with a wide range of food and grocery items and to support daily store operations. You will move products from pallets to shelves, help maintain back-room organization, and collaborate with leadership to meet deadlines.

This entry-level role emphasizes customer interactions, teamwork, and safety. You will work in a fast-paced retail environment, perform physical tasks, and contribute to a positive shopping experience for customers.

Qualifications

• Comfortable learning and using basic technology.
• Ability to follow processes in an organized, efficient way.
• Stay calm and productive in a fast-paced environment.
• Team player and supportive of shared goals.
• Experience with pallet jacks or forklifts is a plus.
• Ability to perform physical tasks, such as lifting up to 50 lbs, bending, twisting, pushing, pulling, and standing for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Stock shelves with a variety of food and grocery products
• Move product from pallets or carts to the correct shelf locations efficiently and accurately
• Pull backstock and dispose of cardboard and trash in designated back-room areas
• Work closely with leadership to ensure assigned areas are completed on time
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment
• Provide friendly, respectful interactions with customers when needed
• Work overnight shifts to prepare the store for the day ahead
• Support other tasks as needed to keep operations running smoothly
