Job summary

Meijer is seeking a Stocking Clerk to join our team. You will stock shelves, move products from pallets to shelves, and keep back-stock areas organized. This entry-level role emphasizes customer service, safety, and efficiency in a fast-paced retail environment.

You will work with leadership to meet deadlines, maintain a neat store, and interact with customers in a friendly, helpful manner. Overnight shifts help prepare the store for the day ahead, with opportunities for growth and advancement

Qualifications

Comfortable learning and using basic technology.
Organized, efficient approach to tasks and processes.
Ability to stay calm and productive in a fast-paced environment.
Team-oriented with a focus on shared goals.
Physical ability to perform tasks including lifting up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

Stock shelves with a variety of food and grocery products.
Move products from pallets or carts to correct shelf locations efficiently and accurately.
Pull backstock and dispose of cardboard and trash in designated back-room areas.
Work closely with leadership to ensure areas are completed on time.
Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment.
Provide friendly, respectful interactions with customers as needed.
Work overnight shifts to prepare the store for the day ahead.
Support other tasks as needed to keep operations running smoothly.
