Job summary

Meijer is seeking an entry-level Stocking Clerk to deliver great customer service and maintain organized store operations. You will stock shelves, assist customers, and support merchandising efforts in a fast-paced retail environment.

This role emphasizes teamwork, adherence to processes, and physical tasks such as lifting up to 50 lbs. Overnight shifts help prepare the store for the day ahead, with potential for growth through Meijer’s development programs.

Qualifications

• Comfortable learning and using basic technology.
• Follow processes and procedures in an organized, efficient way.

• Experience with pallet jacks or forklifts is a plus.
• Ability to perform physical tasks, such as lifting up to 50 lbs, bending, twisting, pushing, pulling, and standing for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Stock shelves with a variety of food and grocery products.
• Move product from pallets or carts to the correct shelf locations efficiently and accurately.
• Pull backstock and dispose of cardboard and trash in designated back-room areas.
• Work closely with leadership to ensure assigned areas are completed on time.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment.
• Provide friendly, respectful interactions with customers when needed.
• Work overnight shifts to prepare the store for the day ahead.
• Support other tasks as needed to keep operations running smoothly.
