Job summary

Total Wine & More in Tempe, AZ is hiring Store Team Members to support merchandising, sales and front-end duties in a retail setting. Roles may be seasonal up to six months with potential for non-seasonal postings thereafter.

Responsibilities include handling inventory, assisting with curbside pickup, customer service, and training in wine, spirits and beer while maintaining safety and compliance with alcohol laws. PTO, health plans, and store discounts are provided.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• 1–3 years of retail experience, 1+ year in a retail setting preferred.
• Familiarity with point-of-sale systems and inventory management software.

Responsibilities

• Maximize product inventory: process freight, organize and distribute inventory, pull and stock merchandise, build displays and end caps, place signage, and support digital business operations by fulfilling orders and assisting with in-store and curbside pick-up and delivery services.
• Deliver exceptional service and a personalized experience by greeting customers, building relationships, and informing them about products and services.
• Participate in wine, spirits, and beer training to build product knowledge.
• Maintain knowledge of advertisements, promotions, and loyalty programs.
• Maintain safety and cleanliness standards across the store.
• Ensure adherence to all applicable laws and regulations related to the sale of alcohol and maintain a safe and compliant store environment.
• Complete cross-functional responsibilities and other duties as assigned.
• Load and deliver orders in a safe and professional manner, following company policies and procedures and abiding by all traffic and safety laws (if delivery is an essential job function).

About the Role

All Store Team Members play an essential role in building our company brand by delivering excellent customer service. Participants work both part‑time and full‑time in a retail setting and are responsible for merchandising, sales, front‑end and other duties as needed. The role may be seasonal, lasting no longer than six months, with the option to apply for a non‑seasonal position after completion.

Physical Requirements

• Must be 21 years of age or older.
• Walk, bend down repeatedly, and be on feet for 8–10 hours a day.
• Safely lift, load, and handle cases and pallets; climb ladders and lift 50 lbs. overhead repeatedly.
• May be exposed to various outdoor weather conditions throughout the workday.

Compensation

Worker Type: Regular. Pay Range: $15.90 – $22.26 per hour. This range may vary based on market location, job‑related knowledge, skills and/or experience. The actual hourly rate will equal or exceed the required minimum wage applicable to the job location.
