Job summary

Jetro Restaurant Depot in Alexandria, VA is seeking a Stocker - Smallwares to ensure products are stocked, packed out, and available to customers. You will keep the area clean, organized and safe while greeting customers.

You will assist customers locating products, provide friendly service, and support department needs. This role requires physical stamina, ability to lift up to 50 pounds, and flexibility to work overtime as needed.

Responsibilities

• Stock product as directed in the Smallwares department.
• Pack out product as directed by the Department Manager.
• Provide friendly, efficient customer service as customers enter the department.
• Assist customers with loading and unloading of product when needed.
• Assist customers with locating products and providing details.
• Perform shelf tag maintenance as needed.
• Assist with cycle counts as needed.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.

JOB DETAILS

Position Title: Stocker - Smallwares

Department: Smallwares

Supervisor: Smallwares Manager/Supervisor

FLSA: Non-exempt

Position Summary

The Stocker in Smallwares is responsible for ensuring all products are packed out, stocked, and available to customers at all times. They are responsible for keeping the area clean, organized and safe.

In addition, they must ensure that all customers that enter the area are greeted and assisted in a friendly manner. It is also the employee’s responsibility to service any customers that may require assistance selecting and retrieving products from the shelves.

Essential Functions

• Stock product as needed in department (as directed by the Department Manager).
• Pack out product as needed (as directed by the Department Manager).
• Provide friendly, efficient and professional customer service as customers enter the assigned department.
• Assist customers with loading and off-loading of product as needed.
• Assists customers with product location and detailed information when needed.
• Perform shelf tag maintenance as needed.
• Assist with cycle counts as needed.
• Keep work area clean, organized and safe.

Work Environment

• For the most part the ambient temperature will be moderate.
• The work is performed standing/walking – must be able to stand/walk for up to 4 hours without a break
• Physical labor –
• must be able to safely lift, push, pull, and carry up to 50lbs,
• must be able to climb and descend up to 15 steps on a step ladder safely while carrying product.
• must have the following posture tolerance: reach above shoulder level, twist/turn head, bend over/stoop, and kneel/squat
• There will be industrial vehicles (forklifts, HiLo, electric pallet jacks) moving material throughout the warehouse.
