Job summary

Jetro Restaurant Depot in Des Plaines, IL is seeking a dependable Stocker to support the Floor department by stocking shelves, facing products, and assisting with inventory while ensuring HACCP compliance.

You will provide prompt customer service, keep aisles clean, and follow safety procedures during lifting and stocking tasks. This role is non-exempt and requires physical endurance for frequent lifting and standing.

Responsibilities

• Provides prompt, courteous and friendly customer service.
• Removes boxes from pallets and places them on shelves as well as opens boxes and removes single items to re-stock shelves
• Rotates merchandise to prevent expiration on shelves
• Organizes and fronts items on shelves
• Performs inspections to meet HACCP regulations
• Assists in inventory review for product rotation to prevent shrinkage and damages
• Ensures shelf pricing is correct and reflects current pricing
• Maintains cleanliness via regular maintenance and cleaning under pallets
• Handles spills safely and reports hazards to supervisors
• Notifies supervisors of low stock/out of stock merchandise
• Performs other work-related duties as required
• May work in other departments as needed
