Stocker/Load Builder - Yard Team Member - Jacksboro

Join our team as a Stocker/Load Builder in Jacksboro, Texas at Hometown Building Centers. We are looking for hardworking, dedicated individuals who are passionate about customer service and completing tasks efficiently. If you value growth and success, we want you on our Yard Team.

Responsibilities
  • Assist customers by helping them find products, offering recommendations, and loading purchases into vehicles
  • Ensure materials are ready for quick and accurate deliveries
  • Load materials safely and pack items correctly for transport
  • Maintain an organized yard for easy product location
  • Help with deliveries, operate forklifts or company vehicles, and unload products
  • Participate in training and learn about products and safety protocols
  • Support customer service across various areas as needed
  • Perform additional tasks assigned by management to ensure smooth operations
  • Follow safety procedures, keep the work area clean, and promote safety
  • Assist with inventory counts to maintain accurate stock levels
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Experience with construction or building materials is a plus but not required
  • Forklift experience (1+ year preferred)
  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to lift, climb, reach, twist, bend, and lift up to 100 lbs with assistance
  • Ability to work outdoors in various temperatures
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • Results-driven attitude and commitment to excellent service
  • Strong teamwork and interpersonal skills
