Job summary

The Assets, Inc. is seeking a Stocker/Janitorial Worker at our Anchorage contract site. This role combines stocking and cleaning duties to keep areas organized, safe, and ready for daily operations.

Responsibilities include stocking shelves, moving merchandise with pallet jacks, cleaning restrooms and floors, and following OSHA standards. No formal education required; drivers license and insured vehicle preferred where applicable.

Qualifications

• No formal education or prior experience required.
• Ability to follow simple instructions and complete assigned tasks.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Must have valid Alaska driver's license with acceptable driving record and insured vehicle.

• Stock shelves, rotate inventory, and maintain product displays.
• Move merchandise using equipment such as pallet jacks and other tools.
• Clean and maintain shelves, floors, restrooms, and work areas.
• Perform trash removal, sweeping, mopping, and general janitorial duties.
• Operate equipment such as cardboard balers and pallet jacks.

Location: Anchorage, Alaska (JBER or contract site)

Job Type / Schedule / Pay

• Employment Type: Part-time
• Hours: 20-29 hrs/wk
• Schedule: Varies based on contract needs (may include early mornings, evenings, weekends)
• Pay: $19.41(stocker)$18.66(janitor) per/hour
• Benefits: 100% employer paid medical indemnity including dental, vision, rx, life insurance, and short term disability

Position Summary

The Stocker/Janitorial Worker performs a combination of stocking and cleaning duties at a contract site. This role helps maintain an organized, clean, and safe environment while supporting daily operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Stock shelves, rotate inventory, and maintain product displays
• Move merchandise using equipment such as pallet jacks and other tools
• Clean and maintain shelves, floors, restrooms, and work areas
• Perform trash removal, sweeping, mopping, and general janitorial duties
• Operate equipment such as cardboard balers and pallet jacks
• Maintain cleanliness in specialized areas such as meat departments (as assigned)
• Follow OSHA safety standards and site-specific requirements
• Participate in trainings and team meetings
• Maintain positive relationships with coworkers and customers
• Follow all company policies and procedures
• Perform other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications

• No formal education or prior experience required
• Ability to follow simple instructions and complete assigned tasks
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Valid Alaska driver's license with acceptable driving record
• Must have an insured vehicle
• Ability to pass required background checks
• Ability to obtain site clearance (JBER access if applicable)

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in stocking, retail, or janitorial work
• Familiarity with pallet jacks or similar equipment
• Experience working with individuals with disabilities
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
