Position: Operations Generalist

As an Operations Generalist, you'll ensure our merchandising and inventory strategies are executed across the Pet Care Center using our Petco processes. You will ensure the efficient and effective operations of the Pet Care Center to meet the needs of our guests and their pets. Your responsibilities include:

1. Maintaining and inventorying the Pet Care Center
2. Ensuring merchandise is properly stocked, priced, and displayed
3. Processing transactions at the register to create a great guest experience
4. Supporting guest interactions with enthusiasm and knowledge
5. Supporting animal welfare and health procedures
6. Completing training to maintain high expertise
7. Promoting teamwork, inclusion, and collaboration
8. Adhering to policies and procedures
9. Performing other duties and projects as assigned

Additional duties include:

• Utilizing selling behaviors to enhance guest experience
• Maintaining safety protocols to ensure a safe environment for all
• Contributing to a collaborative culture focused on pet health and wellness
• Participating in developmental programs for career growth

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent (GED) or relevant work experience
• Proficiency in mathematics and communication skills
• Professional appearance and genuine interest in animal care
• Good interpersonal skills

Work Environment:

Primarily indoors, with some outdoor activities like stocking. Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds, stand for long periods, and be flexible with schedule including evenings and weekends.

Compensation:

Starting rate: $15.95 per hour
