Position Overview

As an Operations Generalist, you’ll ensure our merchandising and inventory strategies are executed across the Pet Care Center using our Petco processes. You will manage the flow of the Pet Care Center to meet the needs of guests and their pets. Your responsibilities include stocking shelves, cleaning the store, working the cash register, and providing an excellent guest experience.

Position Responsibilities

• Maintain and inventory the entire Pet Care Center.
• Ensure merchandise is properly stocked, priced, and displayed.
• Process register transactions efficiently.
• Prove proficiency within our selling model and support guest interactions.
• Show strong interest in animal welfare and support animal care procedures.
• Complete and apply training programs to maintain a high level of expertise.
• Promote a positive culture of teamwork, inclusion, and collaboration.
• Adhere to established operational guidelines, policies, and procedures.
• Complete other duties and special projects as assigned.
• Evaluate guest inquiries and refer to the Leader on Duty as needed.

Basic Qualifications

In addition to a high school diploma or equivalent, applicants must demonstrate proficiency in the areas of mathematics and basic accounting relationships and exhibit exceptional communication skills.

Work Environment

The majority of duties are conducted indoors; bending, kneeling, moving merchandise up to 50 pounds, and standing for long periods are required. A flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends, may be necessary.
