As an Operations Generalist, you’ll ensure our merchandising and inventory strategies are executed across the Pet Care Center using Petco processes. You will manage the operations of the Pet Care Center to meet the needs of our guests and their pets. Your duties will include working the truck, stocking shelves, cleaning, operating the cash register, and providing excellent guest experiences. Success in this role requires a passion for animal welfare and a positive team attitude.

Position Responsibilities

• Maintain and manage inventory across the Pet Care Center.
• Ensure merchandise is stocked, priced, and displayed properly.
• Process transactions efficiently to enhance guest experience.
• Support guest interactions using our selling model.
• Support animal health and welfare procedures.
• Complete training to stay knowledgeable about your role.
• Promote teamwork, inclusion, and collaboration.
• Follow operational policies and procedures.
• Handle additional duties and projects as needed.

• Utilize selling behaviors to provide excellent guest service and identify needs.
• Create a safe environment by following safety protocols to protect partners, guests, and pets.

Basic Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent (GED) or relevant work experience.
• Proficiency in mathematics and above-average communication skills.
• Professional appearance and genuine interest in animals and their care.
• Good interpersonal skills for interacting with the public and team members.

Education/Skills

Proficiency in mathematics and basic accounting, along with excellent communication skills, are required.

Supervisory Responsibility

None

Work Environment

Primarily indoors, with some outdoor tasks like stocking and merchandise handling. Physical requirements include bending, kneeling, lifting up to 50 pounds, and standing for long periods. Flexibility in scheduling, including evenings and weekends, is necessary.
