Job Title: Food Clerk-Stocker

Join HAC, Inc. as a Stocker (52674) and be part of a passionate team dedicated to providing excellent customer service. We are looking for individuals who love food, enjoy working in a fast-paced environment, and are committed to safety and organization.

Primary Responsibilities

1. Greet and assist customers, guiding them to products politely.
2. Stock, merchandise, and correct product displays.
3. Build and maintain attractive displays as needed.
4. Maintain standards for perishables and follow safety procedures.
5. Transport goods within the department.
6. Ensure health and safety codes, check pricing and expiration dates, and organize the area.
7. Perform miscellaneous tasks as assigned by supervisors, including assisting other departments.
8. Stay updated on safety standards and understand the use of cleaning supplies and equipment.
9. Understand merchandising labels, warehouse codes, reports, and invoices.
10. Follow store policies and operate equipment safely.
11. Ensure safety for yourself, customers, and co-workers, reporting hazards immediately.
12. Operate equipment like balers, case cutters, and pallet jacks (must be 18+ for some equipment).
13. Move damaged or unsalable products to the backroom for return.

Qualifications

• Basic mathematics skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division).
• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Prior experience in a related field is preferred.

Specific Tasks

• Lift and move up to 50 lbs., including overhead.
• Maintain signage and pricing.
• Care for signs, banners, and clean daily debris.
• Respond promptly and politely to questions from customers, coworkers, and vendors.
• Use store phone and intercom systems properly.

Work Environment

Inside work with transitions of heat, cold, humidity, and dust from entrance/exit doors and parking lot areas.
