Job summary

Maola Local Dairies is seeking a Stocker for the 1st shift in Newport News, VA. The role involves proper product placement in the cooler and adherence to quality guidelines.

The position runs 8:00am-4:30pm with overtime, weekends, and holidays required. A high school diploma or GED is required, with manufacturing experience preferred. Competitive benefits are offered by a farmer-owned cooperative.

Qualifications

• High school diploma, GED, or International Education Equivalent.
• Manufacturing experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Notify supervisor of any products with issues; including, but not limited to, product without dates, incorrect dates, leaking cartons, short-filled units or cases, or any empty cases in a stack.
• Places products in the assigned area, stacking 5 or 6 cases high, 12 stacks to each row.
• Places dates on products facing the selector line making sure that new products are not placed in front of, or on top of existing products.
• Verifies that products are labeled correctly.
• Notifies the console operator of any product mixing before products may reach the palletizer.
• Cleans and hoses down all spills.
• Notifies supervisor of leaking products and any waste products resulting in spills.
• Inspect areas around chains for milk drops; cleans and hoses down area accordingly.
• Other duties as assigned.
