Job summary

Maola Local Dairies is seeking a Filler Operator for the 2nd shift in Newport News, VA. Work hours are 12:00pm-8:30pm with overtime, weekends and holidays possible. This on-site role pays $21.00 per hour, with a comprehensive benefits package.

The role involves tending packaging machines, ensuring seals and weights are correct, and monitoring quality and safety standards throughout production. Applicants should have a high school diploma or GED and manufacturing experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or international equivalent.
• Related experience preferred.
• Manufacturing experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Tends machine that fills pasteurized products into containers.
• Examines containers from all lines for seals, labels, weights, dates, and valves.
• Seals are checked for stains and valves checked for leakage.
• Notifies foreman of machine malfunction.
• Records information in 15-minute intervals for weight, date, and label.
• Follow all safety and food quality standards.
• Perform organoleptic testing on finished product.
