Job summary

S.P. Richards Company in NW Houston is seeking a warehouse associate to stock business products accurately, promptly, and safely throughout the warehouse. Crown/Raymond Reach and Order Selector experience is a plus.

Work hours are Monday through Friday, 5AM to 1:30PM or until the job is done, with an hourly starting rate of $19 and a potential increase to $22.08 after 12 months of employment, reflecting the emphasis on safe, efficient operations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; training provided.
• Ability to read product numbers and line codes accurately and rapidly.
• Basic math skills for stocking and counting products.
• Ability to follow safety rules and work in a warehouse environment.

Responsibilities

• Stock merchandise received from the manufacturer onto assigned shelves.
• Replenish shelves as required.
• Operate RF scanning equipment.
• Adhere to stockroom housekeeping policies.
• Maintain accuracy in repetitive tasks with good speed.
• Follow safety rules including handling hazardous materials.
• Occasional forklift operation with certification.
• Monitor and report space requirements of stocking locations.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Stock merchandise received from the manufacturer onto assigned shelf.
• Replenish shelves as required.
• Operation of RF scanning equipment is required
• Adherence to the Stockroom Housekeeping Policy of facility and specific product line area is required.
• Accuracy in repetitive routine is very important while maintaining good speed.
• Follow and adhere to all safety rules including the handling of hazardous materials.
• Occasional use of forklift - certification required.
• Monitor and report to supervisor the minimum and/or maximum space requirements of stocking locations.

Qualifications

Must be functionally literate and capable of understanding and recognizing product numbers and line codes to insure proper retrieval of product for shipment, including identifying sequence of numbers and letters accurately and rapidly.

Education/Experience

High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
