Job summary

Smartech in New York City is seeking a Stock Manager for our tm:rw store to oversee daily stockroom operations, from receiving deliveries to keeping inventory accurate and visible on the sales floor.

You will work closely with the sales team and store leadership to maintain stock flow, support transfers and returns, and ensure health and safety standards are met in a fast-paced retail environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in stock control, inventory management, or stockroom operations in retail setting.
• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail, methodical counting and record-keeping.
• Comfort using stock/inventory management systems and POS software.

Responsibilities

• Support the delivery process by ensuring timely receipt, organisation, and processing of goods.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and well-structured stockroom for efficient access and stock movement.
• Assist with transfers, returns, and paperwork, ensuring procedures are completed accurately and on schedule.
• Conduct regular inventory counts and quality checks to maintain stock accuracy.
• Flag discrepancies and support loss prevention through diligent record-keeping and stock handling.
• Prioritise product flow to the sales floor based on demand and priorities.
• Collaborate with the sales team to replenish products quickly and efficiently.
• Monitor stock levels and communicate with management on product availability.
• Support visual and operational readiness by restocking during peak trading hours.
• Assist with documentation and administrative stock processes; work cross-functionally to improve workflow.
• Maintain compliance with health, safety, and operational policies.

The Role

As a Stock Manager at tm:rw, you play a key role in ensuring the smooth and efficient flow of merchandise within our NYC store. You will be responsible for managing daily stockroom operations, from receiving and organising deliveries to maintaining accurate inventory levels and ensuring products are readily available for the sales floor.

Your strong organisational skills, attention to detail, and ability to prioritise tasks will help support store efficiency and contribute directly to achieving sales and operational goals.

What You'll Be Doing

Stockroom Operations

• Support the delivery process by ensuring timely receipt, organisation, and processing of goods

• Support visual and operational readiness by ensuring timely restocking during peak trading hours

Operational Excellence

• Assist with documentation and administrative stock processes in line with company standards
• Work cross-functionally with store leadership to improve back-of-house organisation and workflow efficiency
• Maintain compliance with all health, safety, and operational policies

What We're Looking For

You might come from a retail, warehouse, or logistics background — what matters most is that you're organised, hands-on, and comfortable owning stockroom operations in a fast-moving store environment.
