Job summary

Switchcraft/Conxall is seeking a Stock Handler for the warehouse located in Jefferson Park, Chicago, IL. The role operates on 1st shift (7am-3:30pm) with a pay rate of $18.10/hour.

Duties include loading/unloading, reading work orders, counting/weighing materials, and maintaining accurate records. The job requires hands-on material handling and collaboration to move items between storage and production areas.

Responsibilities

• Loads, unloads and conveys material within the plant.
• Read work orders or follow instructions to move material or containers.
• Count and weigh material and record information on a form.
• Load and unload material onto pallets, trays or machines by hand.
• Convey material from storage to designated area using handtrucks.
• Remove samples of materials and label them with identifying information.
• Assist operators by lifting heavy objects and may place plastic material into molding machine hoppers.
• Handle more difficult tasks such as picking parts and documenting stockroom work.

Switchcraft is currently searching for a Stock Handler for the warehouse.

Location: Jefferson Park, Chicago, IL

Shift: 1st shift 7am-3:30pm

Pay: $18.10/hour

Job Duties

• Loads, unloads, and conveys material within the plant
• Required to read work orders or follow instructions given by supervisor to ascertain material or containers to be moved
• Must be able to count and weigh material and records all information on a form
• Load and unload material onto pallets, trays, or machines by hand.
• Must be able to convey material from storage of given department to designate area or between workers or department using handtrucks or other given devices
• Remove samples of materials, label them with identifying information
• Aid operators by lifting heavy objects, also may place plastic material into hoppers of molding machines
• Handles the more difficult jobs as far as picking parts, etc.
• Must be able to use his/her own initiative in his/her work as well as documenting all work that is required for the stockroom department
