Job Summary:
Location: Methodist Jennie Edmundson HospitalResponsibilities:
1. Maintains adequate medical supply levels by replenishing in SCM established par/supply location by entering information into the computerized ordering system to ensure par levels are met.
2. Delivers requested supplies to assigned established replenishment location by following Supply Chain procedures to ensure departments receive their items within established time frames.
3. Collects (and in some instances based on location), cleans patient equipment by following standard procedures outlined by Infection Prevention and delivering equipment to the requesting units to maintain adequate stock for patient utilization.
4. Restocks the Central Supply area (where applicable) on a daily basis by rotating supplies and removing items near their expiration to ensure all supplies are used within recommended timeframes.
5. Responsible for collecting, returning, and crediting unused supplies from SCM established par/supply locations to ensure supplies are processed in accordance with Supply Chain procedures.
6. Communicates with Lead Inventory Coordinator on all supply replenishment issues/needs to maintain adequate supply levels within the facility.
7. Assists with various Supply Chain functions as needed, including but not limited to receiving, mailroom, etc.
8. Responsible for learning proper operation of handheld devices and all other equipment in department.
9. Professionally handle specialized customer requests efficiently and accurately, including but not limited to using proper phone etiquette, obtaining accurate information and understanding request, carrying department pager and responding to requests in a timely manner.
10. CompletealltasksanddutiesassignedbytheSupplyChain Manager.
11. Activelyparticipatesincontinuous improvements within the Supply Chain organization .
