The Stock Clerk performs warehouse functions including, but not limited to, receiving, storing, and issuing equipment, materials, and supplies. They compile stock records, manage inventory, catalog items, and utilize the Global Combat Support System-Army (GCSS-Army). The role requires adherence to program requirements and standardized guidelines. Responsibilities include sorting, weighing, verifying, storing, and issuing stock, preparing inventory reports, and maintaining accurate records. The Stock Clerk may also mark articles, distribute stock, and perform repairs or adjustments as needed, all in accordance with SOPs, GCSS-Army manuals, and safety policies. Compliance with all applicable laws and proper document management are essential. This position is customer service oriented and requires understanding the requisition process and supporting the mission of the units served.
