Job Description

Assigned to support the 189th Division Sustainment Support Battalion (DSSB), the Stock Clerk is responsible for warehousing duties including verifying materials against receiving documents, receiving, storing, stacking, palletizing materials, and preparing them for shipping. Supports wholesale supply chain functions such as receiving and processing incoming assets, storage, inventory, packing, transportation, repair cycle support, cargo movement/planning, and demilitarization of equipment/parts prior to disposal.

The Stock Clerk locates and moves materials between work areas to expedite processing according to schedules and priorities, maintaining records and work orders to track types, quantities, and availability of materials and customer order priorities.

• Works with the Global Combat Support System-Army (GCSS-Army) to manage the receipt, issue, and storage of class II, IV, and IX repair parts.
• Locates information on issue documents (MRO), compares with parts being pulled or stored.
• Processes and finalizes documentation for incoming shipments, verifies items against shipping documents, and ensures proper documentation.
• Receives items from CRP, inspects, verifies details, and processes in the G-Army system, signing documents to confirm receipt.
• Assists in unloading vehicles, inspects for damages, and checks received items against shipping documents.
• Participates in periodic and special inventories.
• Provides customer service, answering calls, and offering guidance and information as needed.
• Performs Preventive Maintenance Checks & Services (PMCS) on forklifts before, during, and after use.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma
• At least two (2) years of experience in supply chain or logistics operations
• Ability to attain a Common Access Card (CAC)
• GCSS-Army experience
• Valid Driver’s License
• Familiarity with the Department of the Army Inventory Management System
• Knowledge of warehouse operations, Protected Personal Equipment, and OSHA standards
