Job summary

Ed Herrington Inc is seeking a part-time Stock Clerk to support inventory control, stocking, and customer service in our retail locations. Hours per week may vary, with daytime shifts and some Saturday work as described in the posting.

Responsibilities include receiving and shelving merchandise, updating price labels, assisting customers, and maintaining orderly displays. A high school diploma or GED is preferred, with emphasis on reliability and teamwork.

• Experience in stock room or retail environment helpful.
• Customer service orientation encouraged.

Responsibilities

• Takes inventory and identifies items to be reordered or replenished.
• Receives and unpacks merchandise, checks invoicing against items received.
• Stocks shelves and displays merchandise and maintains product presentation.
• Provides customer assistance and directs customers to product locations.
• Assists with order picking and delivery preparation as needed.
• Maintains clean and organized store areas and back stock.
• Participates in training and teamwork to complete duties.

Ed Herrington Inc. is currently seeking part-time Stock Clerk, hours per week may vary. Business Hours of operations daytime Monday – Friday, 7a – 4p, every other Saturday 7a-1p.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

• Takes inventory or examines merchandise to identify items to be reordered or replenished.
• Receives, opens, and unpacks cartons or crates of merchandise, checking invoicing against items received.
• Stamps, attaches, or changes price tags or bin labels on merchandise and display areas when appropriate, referring to the price list for accurate information.
• Stocks storage areas and displays with new or transferred merchandise.
• Stocks paint and sundries from overstock areas.
• Assists at product counter, as necessary.
• Maintains store front for cleanliness and product presentation.
• Provides customer service by answering questions and directing customers to product location.
• Keeps paint storage areas in order.
• Cleans display areas, shelves, and aisles.
• Assists customers and co-workers in carry out of orders and supplies.
• Pulls and stages store items for delivery to established procedure.
• Assists with lawn care and facility maintenance as needed.
• Participates in all required training assignments.
• Displays teamwork and effort in performance of all duties.

Supports the goals and objectives of Ed Herrington, Inc. through adherence to company policies, safety guidelines, and work requirements for successful completion of all assignments.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts, outside weather conditions, and risk of electrical shock. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
