Job summary

Houchens Food Group is seeking a Stock Clerk – Grocery to maintain organized shelves and assist customers at our Decherd, TN location. You will stock and straighten merchandise, rotate stock by expiration dates, and unload deliveries while keeping work areas neat and safe.

The role requires the ability to lift up to 50 pounds, stand or walk for long periods, and communicate in English. You may operate cashier equipment, bag purchases correctly, and assist customers to their cars, following dress

• Stocks and straightens merchandise and supplies.

• Receives and unloads truck deliveries using available equipment.

• Operates tools and equipment safely; maintains a 50 lb lifting limit.

• Receives and unloads truck deliveries using available equipment and according to established guidelines.
• Performs basic housekeeping duties using available equipment, (mops, brooms, floor scrubbing and buffing machines, etc.)
• Operates all required tools and equipment in a safe manner except when restricted due to age.
• Ability to lift and move items weighing up to 50 pounds.
• Standing and/or walking at a rapid pace for extended periods of time to perform job functions.

STOCK CLERK – Grocery

• Maintains a clean and neat work area.
• Unloads groceries from customers shopping cart

• Carries or carts groceries to customer’s car.
• Properly bags or packages customers purchases using correct size and quantity of bags.
• Performs all essential job functions at an acceptable level of speed and accuracy.
• Performs all essential job functions with limited supervision.
• Ability to lift and move items weighing over 50 pounds.
• Other duties as assigned.
