Overview :

The Stock Associate is a member of a talented team that provides guiding service unique to our customer’s needs. Our store associates establish genuine connections and build loyalty with our customers and Stock Associates support the customer experience through operational excellence. Stock Associates contribute to the store’s productivity and profitability through planning and organizing the stock room, executing operational workload, and ultimately enhancing customer service capabilities and maximizing sales. Stock Associates ensure the store environment and visual merchandising standards are consistently maintained.

Responsibilities :

Operational Excellence

• Ensure shipment is processed efficiently to maximize opportunity and meet customer needs. Receive and stock merchandise per company policy and guidelines.
• Replenish the sales floor according to maximum product level standards with all available sizes represented on the sales floor when available.
• Maintain backroom organization and store cleanliness to support store goals and drive operational efficiencies.
• Execute workload to the labor productivity standards (merchandise processing, replenishment, steaming, markdowns, transfers).
• Assist Sales Associates in sales transaction process and sales floor standards.
• Complete assigned tasks in a timely manner with attention to details.

Visual Merchandising

• Prepare merchandise to company visual standard.
• Assist with floor set execution and ongoing re-merchandising of store.
• Maintain excellent visual standards.

Sales Generation and Performance

Responsible for achieving individual and team sales and productivity performance goals:

• Greet customers promptly and genuinely, and re-engage appropriately.
• Build customer loyalty by creating genuine connections with customers.
• Provide customers with helpful, guiding service that is unique to their needs.
• Aware of in store promotions and communicates them to customers.
• Keep up-to-date on J. Jill product features: colors, fabrics, fit, styles, care, etc.

Qualifications :

• Detail-oriented and conscientious.
• Proven ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment.
• Passionate about fashion and the J. Jill brand; continually engaged.
• Great communication skills.
• Proven sales and customer service skills.
• Flexibility with work schedule- evening & overnight availability needed.
• Previous work experience in a retail environment, women’s specialty retail experience preferred.
• Point of sale system, technical experience.
• Excellent interpersonal, organization and prioritization skills.
