Job summary

Williams-Sonoma, Inc. is hiring for a Stockroom/Inventory Associate in Atlanta. You will receive shipments, maintain accurate inventory records, and keep the stockroom organized for efficient replenishment to the sales floor.

Responsibilities include scanning shipments, stocking merchandise, and supporting sales staff. The role requires attention to detail, strong customer service, and the ability to lift up to 75 pounds with proper equipment. Full-time with open availability.

About the Role

Receive shipments and accurately maintain inventory records. Maintain the stockroom and off‑site locations. Assist the sales team in replenishing the sales floor after shipment or during recovery periods.

Responsibilities

• Exemplify the highest level of customer service standards to internal and external customers.
• Scan shipment as delivered.
• Ticket and stock merchandise in the stockroom or prepare for immediate distribution to the sales floor.
• Provide feedback to supervisor regarding inventory levels and damages.
• Organize the stockroom by department and category, and stock merchandise on appropriate shelves or in off‑site locations.
• Adjust stocking procedures to ensure aisles and exits are clear.
• Ensure that merchandise is safely stored, properly ticketed, packaged, and logged, and easily located for replenishment.
• Pack and log merchandise as required for customer deliveries.
• Transport merchandise to and from remote stockroom locations and maintain accurate inventory records.
• Ensure the stockroom is clean, swept, garbage removed, and supplies organized.
• May assist on the sales floor during peak times and as assigned.
• Complete tasks listed on the daily agenda or as assigned (e.g., store maintenance, lighting, cleaning).
• Comply with all company policies and procedures.
• Ensure all appropriate stockroom procedures are followed to minimize loss to the company.

• Proven ability to operate and read scanning equipment for extended periods.
• Ability to lift and carry medium‑to‑large items, weighing up to 100 lbs., utilizing appropriate equipment and safety techniques.
• Full‑time associates are expected to have open availability to meet the needs of the business.
• Part‑time Flex associates must be available to work a minimum of two regularly scheduled shifts on the weekend (Friday, Saturday and/or Sunday) and two during the week (Monday to Thursday). For an associate scheduled 20 hours or more weekly, greater availability that meets the needs of the business will be required. Weekend availability cannot fall on the same day; an associate must be available on two separate days (Friday and Saturday, Friday and Sunday or Saturday and Sunday).

Physical Requirements

• Ability to be mobile on the sales floor for extended periods of time.
• Ability to operate POS system.
• Ability to lift and mobilize medium to large items, up to 75 pounds, while utilizing appropriate equipment and safety techniques.
