Job summary

Edgewood Manor Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center is seeking a compassionate State Tested Nurse Aide (STNA) to join our caregiving team. You will support nursing staff with ADLs, mobility and daily tasks while ensuring resident comfort and safety in a warm, respectful environment.

Qualified candidates will hold a current STNA certification, a high school diploma (or equivalent), and demonstrate strong communication and teamwork.

Qualifications

• Current State Tested Nurse Aide (STNA) certification.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Healthcare or long-term care experience is a plus.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Compassionate and respectful attitude toward residents.
• Ability to work well in a team and independently.
• Physical ability to assist residents with mobility and daily tasks.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs) including bathing, dressing, grooming, and eating.
• Provide support and companionship to residents, fostering a caring and respectful environment.
• Monitor residents' physical and emotional well-being, reporting any changes to the nursing staff.
• Assist with mobility, transferring residents as needed while ensuring their safety.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of resident rooms and common areas.
• Assist with feeding residents, ensuring dietary needs are met and documenting food intake as necessary.
• Uphold infection control protocols and adhere to safety standards at all times.
• Participate in staff meetings and training sessions to enhance skills and knowledge.
