This position works for Hospice of Cincinnati Central Inpatient Unit in Blue Ash. The hours are 7p-7:30a (night shift). Must be willing to float to the 4 inpatient care centers as needed (Anderson, College Hill, Hamilton, and Blue Ash) and Continuous Care. Mileage reimbursement is offered when floating. Conducts bedside shift reporting, point of care charting and demonstrates flexibility. Knowledge of computer systems, basic keyboarding skills and able to perform computer related tasks.

STNA HOSPICE OF CINCINNATI: The primary role of the STNA is to provide direct patient care to Hospice of Cincinnati patients under the direction of a registered nurse. The STNA will assist with, and/or perform, basic activities of daily living, including bathing, feeding, assistance with ambulation, etc., and the STNA will serve as a provider of companionship and emotional support, even during times of crisis. The position is responsible for knowing safety policies and following approved procedures.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

1. EDUCATION: 2 years High School Education General Studies Age 17 with work permit. Successful completion of Home Health Aide competency skills checklist as required by Medicare regulations during orientation including Basic Life Support (BLS). Basic Life Support (BLS) STNA Certification OR Completion of Nursing Student Clinical Training is required OR May consider applicants interested in successful completion of STNA program upon hire.
2. EXPERIENCE: New grad STNA or Nursing Students completed basic skills clinical considered!
3. SPECIALIZED KNOWLEDGE: Prior Aide experience a plus.
