Job summary

The Village of St. Edward in Fairlawn, OH is hiring a full-time STNA for the 3pm-11:30pm shift, with every other weekend and holiday rotation.

The STNA provides personal care to residents in a skilled nursing facility under nurse delegation, emphasizing compassionate, respectful care. Qualified candidates have Ohio STNA certification, strong communication and teamwork, and a commitment to infection control and resident well-being.

Qualifications

• Must have Ohio STNA certification.
• High school education or equivalent.
• Experience within SNF preferred.
• Must have reliable transportation.
• Must pass a pre-employment physical.
• Must be able to lift, push and pull 50 pounds independently and over 50 pounds with assistance.
• Dexterity to feed, bathe, etc.
• Ability to bend, stoop, and reach at different angles.
• Walks, stands, and sits intermittently throughout the day.
• Must understand infection control performance.
• Must be able to utilize therapeutic communication.
• Must communicate professionally and with empathy to residents, families, visitors and coworkers.
• Required to assist in response to emergency situations.

Responsibilities

• Provide for the personal care needs of residents as delegated by the nurse.
• Assist residents with activities of daily living as assigned.
• Maintain infection control practices and safety protocols.
• Document care provided and report changes to supervising staff.
