Village Caregiving is hiring State Tested Nursing Aides in Youngstown, OH. Join our team to help clients with daily living tasks, mobility, and personal care in the comfort of their homes.

We value compassionate caregivers, offer flexible schedules, daily pay, and benefits. Previous caregiver experience is preferred but not required; training and support are provided.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Willingness to adhere to health and safety standards.
• Respectful and compassionate bedside manner.
• Excellent communication and time management skills.
• Physical endurance to perform tasks throughout shifts.

Responsibilities

• Help clients take prescribed medications.
• Assist clients with ambulation and mobility around the house or during appointments.
• Assist clients with personal care and hygiene.
• Support clients with physical therapy exercises as directed.
• Do light housekeeping and meal preparation.
• Shop for groceries or accompany clients on shopping trips.
• Collect information from caregivers and medical staff.
• Report unusual incidents to nurses and family members.
• Act quickly and responsibly in emergencies.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Help clients take prescribed medication
• Assist clients with ambulation and mobility around the house or outside (doctor’s appointments, walks etc.)
• Assist clients with personal care and hygiene
• Help clients complete physical therapy and other recommended exercises
• Do the client’s shopping or accompany them when they shop if needed
• Perform light housekeeping duties that clients can’t complete on their own, including preparing meals
• Collect information about conditions and treatment plans from caregivers, nurses, doctors and family members
• Report any unusual incidents to nurses, doctors and family members
• Act quickly and responsibly in cases of emergency

REQUIREMENTS

• Previous caregiver experience preferred but not required
• Willingness to adhere to health and safety standards
• Knowledge of housekeeping activities and cooking with attention to dietary constraints
• Must be respectful and compassionate with a good bedside manner
• Outstanding communication, time management and interpersonal skills
• Physical endurance to complete required tasks
• High school diploma or equivalent
