Job summary

The Avenue at Brooklyn is seeking caring and dependable State Tested Nursing Assistants to join our post-hospital rehabilitation and skilled nursing facility. In this role you will provide hands-on care, assist with daily living activities, and support residents in a safe, clean, and compassionate environment.

We offer a hotel-like atmosphere, private suites, and a commitment to dignity, healing, and high-level rehabilitation services.

Qualifications

• Must have completed a State Tested Nursing Assistant (STNA) program, or be enrolled and complete the program within four months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Provide hygiene assistance to residents
• Assist residents with feeding and daily living needs
• Perform basic treatments and procedures as directed by the charge nurse
• Observe and report residents’ psycho-social and emotional needs
• Notify the Charge Nurse of any changes in residents’ conditions
• Maintain a clean and neat personal appearance
• Demonstrate respectful and professional behavior toward co‑workers and facility contacts
• Use nursing home equipment properly and safely
• Follow OSHA guidelines for handling and storing chemicals and equipment
• Attend required in-service training programs
• Assist in other areas as directed by the Director of Nursing

• Must be able to manage interpersonal conflicts effectively
