Job Summary : Delivery Courier who is responsible for picking up and delivering Durable Medical Equipment (DME), supplies, and miscellaneous items as directed. Responsible for the organization of DME in the STLC storage facility. Manages complex situations for which (s)he is responsible. Works closely with the Senior TLC Transportation Department, Customer Service Coordinator, Restorative Therapy, and Home Care Coordinators. Works under the direct supervision of the Physical Therapist Assistant/DME Supervisor.

Specifications

Education : Associates Degree Preferred, High School Diploma or GED minimum.

Experience : Has at least 1 year of experience working with the frail elderly population.

Number and Type of Employees Supervised (optional) : None

Licensure, Registry or Certification Required : Valid NC Driver's License with good driving record with a minimum of no major moving violations.

Special Training : Must possess knowledge and skills necessary to provide customer service to participants and other training as required by department. Only act within the scope of his or her authority to practice. Meet a standardized set of competencies for the specific position description established by Senior TLC and approved by CMS before working independently.

Immunizations: Be medically cleared for communicable diseases and have all immunizations up to date before engaging in direct participant contact

Key Responsibilities : (*denotes an age-related skill or task)

• Picks up and delivers DME, supplies, and miscellaneous items as directed, within expected time frames.
• Drives all variety of vehicles that are included in the organization’s transportation fleet with the understanding may drive any type of vehicle upon the instruction of Transportation Coordinator and/or designee.
• Works closely with Transportation Coordinator or designee to arrange delivery of DME otherwise not delivered by contracted vendors.
• Manages inventory of DME at Senior TLC Storage Facility.
• Organizes and cleans DME in the STLC storage facility.
• Manages maintenance of DME in-house/in Adult Day Health Center (ADHC)
• Supports Senior TLC’s mission to encourage and support the quality of life of seniors wishing to continue living in the community; its vision to be the preferred provider of individualized care for seniors in the community; and its values of respect, integrity, accountability, compatible goals, and compassionate care.
