Bourgade Catholic High School is seeking a Track & Field Assistant Coach to mentor student-athletes and drive competitive excellence in a season-long program. The role involves designing training plans, teaching techniques, and promoting academic eligibility while upholding school values.

The position operates on a part-time/seasonal schedule with a stipend-based compensation and requires leadership, strong communication, and a commitment to safety and fair play.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of track & field fundamentals, rules, and event techniques.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
• Ability to foster a positive and inclusive team environment.
• CPR/First Aid certification or willingness to obtain.
• Must pass a background check as required by the school.

Responsibilities

• Assist in developing and implementing effective training programs to enhance athlete performance and team success.
• Provide leadership and mentorship to student-athletes, emphasizing sportsmanship, discipline, teamwork, and personal growth.
• Supervises student-athletes and facilities with a clear, articulated focus on safety and security
• Organize and supervise team practices, conditioning programs, and track & field events.
• Teach proper technique and fundamentals for assigned track & field events.
• Promote academic achievement and encourage student-athletes to maintain eligibility requirements.
• Support athletes in setting and achieving individual and team goals.
• Help create a positive, supportive, and inclusive team environment.
• Represent Bourgade Catholic High School with professionalism at practices, competitions, and community events.
• Upholds the doctrinal teachings of the Catholic Church
• Ensure compliance with Arizona Interscholastic Association (AIA) rules and Bourgade Catholic High School policies.
