Job description

POSITION SUMMARY

Upholds the Core Values as determined by the management team. Primary responsibility for all positions with Holmes Ace Hardware is to Amaze Every Customer Every Time. Floor associates are responsible for engaging the customer, determining their needs and projecting requirements.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

1. Diagnose problems and determine what repairs are needed on SCAG Mowers, Kohler, Briggs & Stratton, Kawasaki, and STIHL power equipment.
2. Disassembly, repair, and reassembly of components and machines.
3. Perform all service tasks.
4. Maintain a clean work area and perform work in a neat and orderly fashion.
5. Bring to the attention of the Store Manager any shop tools or equipment that is not in a serviceable condition or is unsafe to use.
6. Provide the best possible experience for Every Customer, Every Time by being helpful, knowledgeable, and friendly.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

1. Working knowledge and experience with small engines.
2. Skilled at providing prompt, friendly, and attentive customer service.
3. Proven track record of being a team player.
4. A continuous pattern of regular and prompt attendance is required.

Physical Requirements

1. Ability to stand for an extended period of time, walk, reach, and bend to perform job duties.
2. Move and handle merchandise up to 40 pounds, and fixtures throughout the store, which entails lifting and performing all functions as set forth. Job responsibilities may change based on the needs of the business.
