Hyatt Regency Wild Dunes Resort in Isle of Palms, SC is seeking a Stewarding Supervisor to oversee daily stewarding operations and maintain high standards of cleanliness and safety. You will lead stewarding colleagues, train staff, and partner with culinary and F&B teams to ensure smooth resort operations and exceptional guest experiences.

The role requires supervisory and stewarding experience in a hospitality setting, with a focus on food safety, sanitation, and team development.

• At least six months food & beverage experience required.

Responsabilidades

• Train and coach stewarding staff on procedures and safety.
• Assist with scheduling, coverage, and labor management.
• Monitor inventory and orders for supplies and chemicals.
• Ensure equipment operation and maintenance of dish machines.
• Support banquet and events with supplies and equipment.

Summary

Summary: Th e Stewarding Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the stewarding department, ensuring cleanliness, sanitation, and organization of all kitchen equipment, food and beverage service areas, and back-of-house operations. This position leads stewarding colleagues, maintains health and safety standards, and supports the culinary and food & beverage teams to ensure efficient resort operations and exceptional guest experiences.

Essential Job Functions:

Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of stewarding colleages.

Ensure proper cleaning, sanitizing, and storage of dishes, glassware, silverware, kitchen utensils, and cooking equipment.

Maintain cleanliness of all kitchens, food preparation areas, dish rooms, storage areas, and waste management locations.

Conduct routine inspections to ensure compliance with company standards and local health department regulations.

Train, coach, and develop stewarding team members on proper cleaning procedures, chemical handling, safety practices, and equipment usage.

Assist with scheduling, department coverage, and labor management to support operational needs.

Monitor inventory and order stewarding supplies, including cleaning chemicals, dishwashing products, and related equipment.

Ensure proper operation and preventative maintenance of dish machines and stewarding equipment.

Manage waste disposal, recycling programs, and grease collection processes in accordance with environmental and safety standards.

Support banquet, restaurant, pool, and special event operations by ensuring adequate equipment and supplies are available.

Follow all resort safety policies, OSHA guidelines, and food safety requirements.

Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Experience & Education :

• Prior stewarding experience preferred
• At least one-year supervisory experience preferred
• At least six months food & beverage experience required

Working Conditions:

• While primarily an indoor job, must be able to work at outdoor locations on occasion, walking on uneven surfaces;
• Must be able to work in either hot or cold conditions
• Must be able to stand on feet and walk throughout the day
• Must be able to frequently lift and carry up to 25 lbs. & occasionally lift, carry, push & pull up to 50 lbs;
• Must be able to perform simple grasping, fine manipulation, reaching and repetitive hand & arm movements constantly; squeezing and overhead reaching occasionally
• Must be able to twist and bend frequently, and squat occasionally
