Job summary

Evermore Orlando Resort in Orlando, Florida is seeking an experienced Executive Steward to lead our stewarding team in a luxury, high-volume environment.

You will train staff, supervise receiving of products, ensure safety standards, and maintain clean, organized kitchen and service areas while upholding Evermore's hospitality culture.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 3+ years’ experience in an upscale facility is preferred.
• SERV Safe certification required or able to obtain.

Responsibilities

• Assist the executive steward with training and supervising stewarding personnel.
• Supervise receiving of products to ensure quality and quantity.
• Guide stewards in preparation of their job assignments.
• Maintain high security and safety standards for guests and team members.
• Wash dishes and clean kitchen areas and equipment.
• Stock supplies in serving stations and refrigeration units.
• Sweep and mop floors and manage waste.
• Complete safety trainings and certifications.
• Maintain neat professional appearance and personal cleanliness.
• Adhere to health and safety regulations.

Key Responsibilities

• Assists the executive steward with training and supervising stewarding personnel with an emphasis on upholding the Evermore Culture in all our offerings.
• Supervises the receiving of product to ensure proper quality and quantity is delivered.
• Guides and works with the stewards in preparation of their job assignments
• Maintains the highest level of security and safety standards for both our guests and Team Members
• Wash dishes, glassware, flatware, pot and pans using dishwashers or by hand
• Maintain kitchen work areas including equipment and utensils in clean and orderly condition
• Stock supplies, such as food or utensils in serving stations, stock areas and refrigeration units
• Sweep and mop floors, including floor mats
• Sort and remove trash, placing it in designated pickup areas
• Empty and maintain trashcans and dumpster area
• Complete safety training and certifications
• Maintains neat professional appearance and always observes personal cleanliness rules.
• Adheres to state and local health and safety regulations.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Education, Skills And Experience

• High School Diploma
• 3+ years’ experience in an upscale facility
• SERV Safe Certified
• Ability to work scheduled shift, weekends, holidays and rotating schedule.
• Ability to convey information and ideas clearly.
• Ability to maintain composure and objectivity in all situations.
• Must be effective in handling opportunities in the workplace, including anticipating, preventing, identifying, and solving problems as necessary.
• Must be effective at listening to, understanding and clarifying concerns and issues raised by Team Members.
• Must have the Spirit of Hospitality and enjoy Guest Service, to both our internal and external guests.

Physical Requirements

• Able to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, bend, and/or reach repeatedly.
• Able to safely lift, pull and push over 40 pounds.
• Able to be on your feet and move around for long periods at a time.
• Manual dexterity of hand to use all equipment.
