Washington Hilton is looking for a dynamic Stewarding Coordinator/Supervisor to join their Stewarding team! With about 120,000 square feet of meeting space and 3 Food & Beverage outlets, this property is located in the heart of Washington, DC and is the home to amazing events and guests.

The ideal candidate will have a very good understanding of the Banquet and stewarding operations, will have a min of 3-5 years of runner/supervisor experience in the stewarding department and in properties with over 600 rooms. To succeed in this role, you would have to be computer savvy and have a great attention to detail. This is a fantastic opportunity for those seeking to grow their hospitality career.

Shift Pattern: Fluctuating schedules over AM and PM shifts, with mostly AM shifts: 8:00AM-4.30AM, weekdays, weekends and Holidays availability required.

Pay Range: $30.42 per hour

What will I be doing?

As a Steward Supervisor, you would be responsible for supervising utility stewards, dishwashers and temporary personnel to transport and clean cooking utensils and service ware in the hotel's continuing effort to deliver outstanding guest service and financial profitability. Specifically, you would be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards:

  • Good understanding of the Banquet functions and Menu sheets and being able to transfer the information to the stewarding team.
  • Supervise, support and monitor utility stewards, dishwashers and temporary personnel to transport and clean cooking utensils and service ware for restaurant service
  • Supervise cleaning of work area and physical surroundings
  • Maintain and deliver proper inventory for food and beverage departments
  • Ensure all food and equipment are delivered on time to all functions as specified
  • Schedule, assign daily work, inform and train team members
  • Monitor, observe and assist in evaluating team member performance
